CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6A

Patch panels and termination
Patch panels provide a structured point for terminating and managing fixed cabling. Keystone jacks, face plates and other termination hardware form part of the complete installation.
Patch leads and flyleads
Patch leads connect equipment to patch panels, outlets and other network components. Length, category, connector type and installation requirements should be considered.
Fibre optic cabling
Fibre provides a different physical medium from copper Ethernet. Single-mode and multimode fibre are used in different applications, so the fibre type and compatible transceivers need to be considered together.
Outdoor cabling
Outdoor installations introduce environmental considerations that do not apply to a typical indoor cable run. The cable and installation method should be selected for the environment.
Connectivity accessories
RJ45 connectors, boots, keystone jacks, adapters, transceivers, modules and cable management products can all form part of a structured cabling installation.

Do not select a cable in isolation. Consider the endpoint, patch panel, connector, patch lead, switch port and any transceiver or module involved in the complete connection.
